Murkon's Refuge: Getting to that &*%$ town in level four!

I wouldn't ask for help, except I've been stuck here for awhile
and I've been banging my head against the wall for quite enough
time now.

Here's the problem: I'm wandering around level four with two
12's, plus a budding assassin and druid (just switched them
over). So I'm doing alright leveling up and all of that. The way is
blocked to the town in level four. I've searched the level high
and low, or so I thought, but I am obviously missing something.

Prior, the pass key and authorization whatzit were located in
pools, but is this the case for getting to the level four town? Or
is it somewhere else in level four? Help, please!!!
