Good point. I just grow weary of the ever-vaster number of films that focus on effects and not on making a good story. I love a good story, and Titanic's just isn't one that hooked me. It's not the worst movie ever made, not by a longshot, but the budget seems to me to be all that made it good, sort of like the Matrix.

Hmm, IMDB doesn't seem to list awards won with its films. Did Titanic win any acting-related awards/nominations? Do effects-laden films tend not to get noticed for acting? [Sorry, i really am more of a music guy than a movie buff.]
