How do I leave a character in the first place without deleting it entirely? Sounds pretty dumb of me not to be able to reason that one out. Just whenever I enter the labyrinth, all my characters go with me. Can't seem to get any of them to 'stay behind'. Please help!! Thanks, Banan

There's a way to select the members of your party. You don't have to take everyone with you, at any particular town. It's one of the options in the town menu, though I can't remember which since I haven't played in forever. I think it's "add a character" or "remove a character".

You can also always jump to Perinn and start fresh, no matter where you are.

Just be glad the Inn at Teralt doesn't charge you for every night you leave a character there while adventuring with another party.

In all honesty, there probably isn't a great deal of use for the teleporters. Logic will tell you that once a new party is strong enough to rescue an old party at an advanced town, the new party will be strong enough to survive on its own. Some people have found this out through experience as well. It's just good to know that you don't have to completely abandon a party for the sole reason that they can't afford lodging.
