At the risk of offending someone, I have to tell a distantly related story. At a different online forum, someone stated that because of the evolution theory that our ancestors came from Africa, "we were all African-Americans". I pointed out that it was an *international* forum, and they got the "African" part right but the "American" part wrong. One other person accused me of being overly nationalistic.
