I'd wonder what else was hidden. My parents have always been open and honest with me (not to say that everything they said was true, but if they said it, they believed it), and I believe that if I had a sibling that I had not known about some time ago, I would have known about this person by now. Another reason is that, if they had had a previous child, they wouldn't have tried for another at 39 (dad) and 36 (mom).

That said, if I did find myself in that situation, I would almost certainly want to meet him*, if he* was still alive.
