> I'm assuming the second version was the one Dave and I saw a while ago. It had a HORRIBLY obvious tacked-on happy ending. The movie came to a natural end, it went to a black screen for a couple of seconds, and then all of a sudden WHAMMO, it's A Road Outside The City, Much Later. Demolishing the assumption that all the characters died at the REAL end of the movie, they are now living the happy lives of rural hippies in homemade knit sweaters in a small cottage somewhere in what looks like Scotland, and all the evil killer zombies have died naturally, and the rescue plane from Europe or someplace comes over and spots them. Happy waving, hugs, triumphal music, exeunt stage left.
