I love mountains too. I've lived here in the foothills of the Smokies all my life. My brother and two sisters live in Pigeon Forge, about three miles from Dollywood. I'm thinking it's about time for me to take another trip to the mountains.

I have a friend who lives in Brownsville in Haywood County, that I met when he was a student at UT in Knoxville years ago. He is a musician also (plays guitar). So I've been thinking I just might go down there to visit him again soon. He and his wife and kids were living in Los Angeles for years, and now they are living in Brownsville to be near his parents.

Like you, I envy people who get to travel a lot. There's Howard, who just left for Boston last weekend on his way to Nova Scotia. That man travels more than anyone I know. He lives just a few miles down the road from me in Lenoir City.

Since I'm a paid pianist at my church, I'm expected to be there every Sunday and on Wednesday night when we have choir practice. So about the only trips I get to take are to Dollywood and the Smokies.

Now I'm hungry, so I'm off to the Cracker Barrel, which is just a mile down the road. That's about my most favorite restaurant in Knoxville.
