I doubt it. I'm with you -- attempting to do so doesn't make any sense.

I also doubt that it's even practically possible. We could do *something* with enough money and effort, of course, but what a ridiculous sum it would take to piece together broken boulders, tote up all those tons, and stick it back on a cliff without totally disrupting its immediate environs. The enormousness of the task blows my mind.
