By letting the Oscars go ahead but toning down the aura of self-adoration and conspicuous consumption that usually goes with big awards shows, exactly the right things are being focused on.

Oh, I don't have any problems with the Oscars going on. Or the NCAA basketball tournament. Or the cancellation of the A's and Mariners trip to Japan. I just found it interesting that they kept mentioning the security of the event.

Today, I will be putting a lot of attention on the basketball games, particularly the California/NC State game.
