This and all the other posts are very helpful. It seems like it all averages out to about the same level of dressiness as one of the more executive-style companies here. Although I've never worked at a place like that, I know the look well enough. So now I can just take things as they come, and figure out the rest at the interview stage, like various people have said.

Looking back on my interview for the temp job I have up to the end of January, the whole "interview clothes" thing is pretty funny. Of course *I* was all dressed up, but what I only now realised is funny, the two women who interviewed me were dressed up too. So we both sat there in suit jackets and silk blouses and six solid inches of makeup, and yet the second the hiring procedure was over, it magically became acceptable to see each other on a daily basis wearing sweat pants and a baggy t-shirt.

That's what my boss wears, at least. I would never wear sweat pants and a baggy t-shirt to work. You have to have *some* sort of standards.
