Murkon's Refuge: Stuck in Lyesis, again

I've become, once again, stuck in Lyesis. I currently have 6 active characters, all of level 13, dead in Lyesis, with less than 1000 gold per character. They have very few or no spare items to sell to afford to be resurrected.
My roster is full (18 characters) so I can't create new ones to save them without sacrificing some of my existing characters.
Should I try to get the characters out anyway or scrap them and restart from the beginning with a different set of characters?
