I didn't know they even *used* stainless steel crowns anymore (mine is gold). Well, I guess they did when you got yours. Or something.

The first time I went to my current dentist (for the gold crown) he gave me the usual amount of anathetic (sp?) and then starting grinding away on my tooth (no pun intended...well, yeah, there was), and it HURT. So I have to have more anathetic than usual, because my nerves are apparently more sensitive than average. *shrugs* I'm just glad they don't use laughing gas anymore.

I really like going to my dentist, which I believe I mentioned before. In fact...I've *always* liked going to the dentist ever since I was a little kid, a fact that I never did quite understand. (I like getting X-rays too. Weird.)

If I were a dentist, I would not appreciate the fact that there is a plethora of jokes about the dangers of being a patient and how the dentist always seems to be an escaped homicidal lunatic who is just barely containing the urge to slit their patient's throat.

Qua "And another thing, how come dentists are always men and dental assistants are always short blonde women?" rtz
