Which fortress are you talking about? You use the magic stone and the pass ring at the southern fortress. For getting into the northern fortress you have to jump down a place but you need an item (that would keep you alive when you jump) from the southern fortress for that.

Have you given something to the rabbit? If you have then you should be able to get past the cat.

Your sword is there where it was before (where you first found it).

And why do you have to get past the dwarf in the farm again? You already got the silver key from him and stolen some of his carrots.
