Santa Barbara is a pass-through place for me. I ofter drive through there on my way to Morro Bay, or fly in there and rent a car to drive to Ventura and someplace else. I've stopped to eat there a couple of times, but that's about it.

When I was still teaching, I told some kids I had been to Santa Barbara, and they were surprised to find out that it was a real place. They thought it was a soap opera.
