I'd head to either Luxembourg City, Luxembourg, or Cruz Bay, St. John (USVI).

I believe I've discussed Luxembourg here before. If not, it's the last city in Europe I had an opportunity to visit during the almost two years I lived in West Germany. If I could describe the city and the country in one word, it would be "quaint". It's a little nation that's even smaller than Rhode Island. It didn't even take an hour to travel from the German border to the center of the country. Everything just seemed so magnificent there: the crazy layout of a major European city, the caves, the river, the rolling hills, the people. Apparently, they have their own currency, but nobody uses it. I only spent a few hours there, but I really fell in love with the place.

Cruz Bay is something else entirely. When we were planning to be married -- that's my wife and I, not you and me. Unless you're my wife and you're reading this, but I really doubt she reads the message forum -- one of the places we wanted to go was the US Virgin Islands, St. John in particular. We've heard from friends who visited the USVI and they said to head to St. John instead of St. Thomas. St. John is 90% undeveloped, St. Thomas is covered with houses -- or so I've heard. "Island Paradise" is how I picture the place. Back in NYC, in the chill of winter, I'd check the weather in Cruz Bay. It was always about 77 degrees Farenheit, partly cloudy. If that's not enough, you've got to love a place that has a holiday called "Hurricane Supplication Day".

Perhaps exploring Antarctica. That would be awesome. It's probably the closest to Mars as I'd be able to get.
