I think turkey is a nasty-tasting bird. It's dry and tough, and no amount of gravy can correct those fundamental flaws. Usually I dread Thanksgiving, because it means that I'll have to eat tons and tons of the stuff, from the main course at the feast to countless leftovers including turkey sandwiches, turkey soup, turkey salad, turkey stew, turkey meatloaf, and just plain microwaved week-old turkey. It's bad enough the first time -- why drag things out so long? Tradition schmadition. Give the bird a break.

This year, my family's having porterhouse STEAK, cooked over the open flame in a firepit in my backyard! Steak == Good. Yay! It'll be a happy Thanksgiving after all!
