I don't think seven or eight years is old at all for a vehicle...or at least for a car. We just recently sold our '93 Toyota Corolla, and it had 120,000 miles. It was still going strong; the only reason we sold it was because we had bought another vehicle, an '02 Ford Explorer, and we only needed two vehicles (we also had a '97 Mitsubishi Mirage).
