First off, breathe, have a virtual cookie, it's not worth getting stressed over.

Leave the valley and go away for a few moves. The giraffe will eventually lose interest, and will be gone when you first enter the valley.

Now when you went west the first time, you met the stupid giraffe... so what's your other option?
