It could be coincidence, because Excedrin Migraine doesn't *always* work for her, but here's another weird thing: recently we found a no-name brand of what was chemically the same as Excedrin, and THAT came in two forms, for two different stated purposes. The active ingredients were identical; the only difference I could see was that one came in pills and one came in caplets. The caplets cost *twice* as much.

If that isn't it, I have to think it's just a dumb marketing ploy, *and* Leen has simply been unlucky the times she's treated her headaches with Extra Strength Excedrin instead of Excedrin Migraine.

Could also be the inactive ingredients that are the issue. I take ibuprofen for mine, and have good luck but a friend of mine swears that because Excedrin Migraine has caffeine in it, that's what does it for her. Could also be the dyes in the pills - some are migraine triggers, and it's possible the Extra Strength stuff is actually exacerbating the situation. I have heard of lot of folks who (horrors) have headaches triggered by chocolate. What a fate.
