I have no idea. The active ingredients, as I'm sure you know, are identical. But Excedrin Migraine seems to routinely work for Darleen, and Extra-Strength does not. It could be coincidence, because Excedrin Migraine doesn't *always* work for her, but here's another weird thing: recently we found a no-name brand of what was chemically the same as Excedrin, and THAT came in two forms, for two different stated purposes. The active ingredients were identical; the only difference I could see was that one came in pills and one came in caplets. The caplets cost *twice* as much.

The only difference I can possibly imagine is that the two different types dissolve at different rates in the body. If that isn't it, I have to think it's just a dumb marketing ploy, *and* Leen has simply been unlucky the times she's treated her headaches with Extra Strength Excedrin instead of Excedrin Migraine.
