I don't have a TV where I live right now, and it's doing me a world of good.

I always find that when I zonk out in front of the TV set for a while, afterwards I feel a sense of emptiness. I think 'Gee, where did the time go? I still have all this stuff I have to do. There were beter things I could have done.' And yet, I'm still as susceptible to become a TV zombie the next night.

Methinks technology has brought society into a diminishing returns cycle, where we keep needing more stimuli to provide the same "satisfaction" level. Almost like a drug, really.

I'm afraid we're so entrapped in it that we won't realize the beauty of simplicity soon.
