I suppose a headache contest can't be too far away.

I think I can top a nose bleed contest, and in the process, I'll probably set a new record for getting my post zapped. But here goes.

Have you ever heard of a Bugger Flipping Contest? Actually they used buggers made from rubber cement and made them a standard weight of about 5 grams. Or maybe it was 10.

It happened at an Ivy League frat party somewhere in New England. Rules limited it to thumb and middle finger with your elbow resting on a table. If your elbow came off the table, you were disqualified. The playing field was two 36 X 72 inch tables placed end to end. Contestants sat in a chair at the end and flipped for distance. No points were awarded for style, and buggers flipped off the side of the table did not count. Each contestant got three flips and and the best distance was recorded. They established a world's record of 121.5 inches. The record, set in 1992, has never been broken or even challenged.

An interesting sidelight is that a fight broke out over the correct spelling of bugger. Some wanted to spell it booger, but bugger won out. After the fight, they had a nosebleed contest, but it was a draw. (One contestant claimed to have won by a nose.)
