Their only saving grace that I could see was that is quite easy to stick to 30mph in them. My current car does less than 2,000 revs in fourth gear at 30mph. Not very good for accelerating away.

Well, I've seen and even driven lots of Nissans, but never one called a Micra. I wouldn't know a Vectra if it parked on my foot. That leads me to believe that these are sold only in some island nation in the eastern North Atlantic. So I gotta ask, Dude, have you ever seen a Hudson Jet? or a Crosley? or a Kaiser Manhatten? or a Nash? or a Packard Clipper? I won't even ask about a Henry J.

The funniest car I ever saw was a London Taxi. But after I looked at it a while, it made sense. It was roomy inside, and compact on the outside, with a roof line tall enough to make it easy to get in and out. But, I never figured out how anybody could drive sitting over there on the right. I also wondered why cars in London don't have as many dents as the ones in American cities.
