Maybe I'm wierd, but I see more beauty than humor in thunderstorms. I like to sit on a beach at night and watch thunderstorms far out to sea. I've also seen them at night from airplanes, but the beauty increases with distance. A nearby thunderstorm brings up other emotions. If I hear the crash at the same time that I see the flash, I feel mostly terror.
