Unfortunately, beautiful, classic cars lack the reliability, drivability, and economy that we want in our everyday cars. Someday soon, I will be driving a restored 1957 Volkswagen bug that is a classic of sorts. But it has no power, by today's standards. It is noisy, likely to break down, has no air conditioning, not much of heater, drum brakes and an unsyncronized first gear. But it will be fun to drive and I will look sharp driving it. And I don't have to depend on it.
