There's something wrong with me, three. I love taking off, I love landing, I love flying, and I love being in airports. Then again, I tend to enjoy most places I go because they're so interesting. But airports are guaranteed to have so many fun people and things to see in them, no matter what time of day it is. I think it's partly because flying is generally considered a Big Deal, so people tend to invest more emotions into it. They can drive any time, but it's not every day that they get on a big thing with wings that takes them from one place to another through the air at 500+ miles an hour. If they're prone to get excited, they will be Very excited. If they're prone to get nervous, they will be Very nervous. Perhaps the best people are the nonchalant ones who try valiantly to pretend that flying is No Big Deal.

Being in an airport is a chance to see people in a setting you don't always see, and it's one of the most fascinating places for people watchers.
