About six weeks ago, my husband was promoted from regular-working-guy (okay, that's not the actual title) to supervisor, which was really cool because that means a raise, and we've been trying to save up for a new car. (My car has 140,000 miles on it and thus is very near death.) The only problem is, three paychecks later, still no raise. So he asked about it and the boss said that some people are upset because it'll be his second raise is less than a year. The first one was the usual raise for working there for two years. It makes me a little bit angry because he's taken on a WHOLE lot of responsibility, and he's doing a lot more work now, but they don't seem to want to pay him for it. It just doesn't make sense. She (the boss) said it would be retroactive when it does go through, so that's good, but it would be nice to know just how long it's going to take.
Anyway. Yeah. I'm glad it's Friday and we can watch the meteor showers this weekend. That just about makes everything all better.
