How to MP3-CD?

Okay. I've searched for this info with Google, but can't find anything. I have a DVD player that plays MP3-CDs (a bunch of MP3 files burned straight onto a CD, still in MP3 format on the disc, as opposed to a standard audio CD that any boombox will play) and I'd love to make one, but HOW do I structure the files on the disc? Is there any specific sample rate I need to use? How do I name the files? I simply cannot make it work. Windows shows me the files right there on the CD, but my JVC-brand DVD player sees nothing. I've been told that this is certainly NOT the DVD player's fault, but rather the file structure on my disc, but I don't know how to put them on there so the player will see them? Helpies please.
