I'm having real difficulty believing that article isn't parody. If it *were* parody, it'd be an absolute masterpiece of walking the knife edge of credibility. When I got to this quote:

"We've chosen that path, but it isolates us from everyone. We're not complaining; it has to be. But it does kind of get to you sometimes."

... I could have almost sworn it was one of The Onion's subtler pieces of work. Geez Louise. I still can hardly believe it's not an extremely well-carried off joke.
