Back in the old days when we only had one
forum, Issachar posted a rant about how
much he hates loud, obnoxious, shouting car
dealership commercials. Now, every time I
hear one of these ads on the radio (which is
nearly a daily occurence) I think of that rant
and once again agree with it.

Well, yesterday, I heard my first "self-aware"
loud obnoxious car dealership commercial
ever.

I was on my way home from work at the end of
the day, and in a bit of a bad mood because of
traffic, but this commercial made me laugh. It
started out as a normal-sounding
commercial, and the announcer said
something like, "You know how all those other
guys have loud, obnoxious commercials full of
explosions? Well, do we *have* to do it that
way?" Then there was an EXPLOSION, BOOM!
and the announcer goes "OOOOWWW!!!"

He then says, "Okay, I gues we do," and then
went into the usual shouting, loud obnoxious
WE-HAVE-THE-LOWEST-PRICES-EVAR
schpiel, but everytime there was an explosion,
he'd stop and go "OOOWW!!!"

It was hilarious. Didn't make me want to buy a
car, but at least it brightened up my day.
