It's fair to say that Superman is an upstanding member of society, right?

OR IS IT?

Putting the destruction that he seems to bring about to one side for a moment, I give you the Superman III movie and the C4 series, Smallville.

Brace yourselves.

Superman III's grown-up Lana Lang, Clark's main squeeze, is played by the same woman as plays his mom for his early years in Smallville. Now, I'm all for recurring characters and other such continuity, but that's bending the rules a little, surely? He's *going out with the woman that used to be his mother*. I guess that explains the permanently-visible underwear.
