The hornet foam isn't GOOD for the environment, but it's not really BAD for it either. As for spider foam: They make spider spray, no foam. You could also use a fumigator (a.k.a. bug bomb), they're the cans that you push a button and then RUN and it blasts the room full of icky icky fog that zorches spiders. Icky, but not as icky as being killed by a spider.
