There are more useful weapons available for your Rogue, but I don't recall if there are any more powerful than +n Short Swords. Anyway, with my Rogue of a previous game up to 30 Strength and 19 Speed he could take out 9 of anything except the odd Royal Escort in one attack. You just need more Items of Extra-Specialness.
