Yes, you like a "high challenge" game. After the first one, I kind of like a "low frustration" game. The fact that I use dial up may have something to do with it.
BTW, I considered posting about this at the time, but back then there wasn't as much interest in "who did what". The game in which I retired a single character was not a true one character game like yours, squidgunners or Darien's.
He was a level 8 sorcerer dead at Kaliti from a party that didn't work out. I kept flitting back and forth between wizard and sorcerer to get the spells I wanted, and in the process, he was dead broke and needed his pals to give up their gear or go on a gold-seeking mission three or four times to keep his drive alive.
So mine doesn't go in the record book even with an asterisk.
