Murkon's Refuge: Is this route good?

In regard to a previous post on this board, I made my second party go to the stairs on level 5, then onto level 7, killing everything on the way. The monsters on level 5 were almost trivial to kill, the ones on level 7 offered a bit of challenge.

After the third fight on level 7 half of my party died so I teleported the remaining half to Kaliti. (I hadn't used CURE spells since I left Kaliti.)

Does this sound like a good training route for the characters? Should I just run this route over and over again until my characters are level 20 or something? Or pursue more challenging routes?
