Once you get to the bottom level, you can't really miss Murkon's lair. That level doesn't give you too many choices of where to go. The lair is obviously heavily guarded, so you should expect to die a couple times, till you get the hang of how strong your opponents are (and level up a lot in the process).

You have to refine your combat technique to beat large groups of very strong monsters. Also, max out your Agility so that you can ambush most of them. That way you can usually take out three or more groups before they even hit you.
