MR: Getting to Kaliti (Spoiler)

Okay, I don't want to ruin the game for anybody who has just started, so here's some spoiler space. If you've just started playing Murkon's Refuge, stop reading here.

Right.

When talking about a different topic, Joona I Palaste said:

"Once you beat the Gatekeeper Kaliti will become pretty easy to find."

My answer to that is to start a new subject, and say,

"HUH??"

Sorry, so I'm clueless.

I did manage to find Kaliti's location on the map. Not saying what. ;-) But!!! The door was locked. And I went all around Level 4 looking for the key. I reckon it's at the bottom of one of the four water pools. But!!! I got my entire party killed.

Twice.

So, created some new characters and raised the cash by going to the Monster Treasury on the first level, about three times, blah blah blah blah you don't really want to hear this.

My question is: Who's the Gatekeeper? Because I found Kaliti, no Gatekeeper in sight, I just can't get in to the town. Hmph.

And one more thing: What's this BLAZE spell? Is it something like CANDLE and LANTERN, but bigger? You know, seven square grid?
