Murkon's Refuge: 1st party vs 2nd party

My second party (set out to rescue the first party) is now almost all of level 9, some soon to become level 10. All of them have at least 140 hitpoints, and the Wizard and two Sorcerors each have at least 50 spell points.

I just visited the 4th level with the second party. They managed to hold out pretty OK until the start of the monster-filled corridor before the Gatekeeper, where their spell points ran out and I had to go back to the elevator.

Should I keep on adventuring with my second party until they become strong enough to reach Lyesis, or should I try to resurrect some of my first party and try to escape back to Kaliti?
