MR Race Question

Ok, so right now I have 2 level 11 assasins. Here are their stats:

Chronian (Male Dwarf):
St: 21 Vis: 13 Ag: 20 Dex: 18 Vit:14 IQ: 14 Wis: 13 Cha: 14 AC 21 WC 11 Speed: 5

Detritus (Male Troll):
St: 20 Vis: 15 Ag: 22 Dex: 22 Vit: 16 IQ: 13 Wis: 14 Cha: 13 AC 22 WC 10 Sp 4

Here's my question: Am I wrong in assuming that these two should have more or less equal combat abilities? Chronian can pretty much always be relied on to put away 2 enemies per round, but Detritus usually only gets one when he doesn't miss completely. Is there some in-game difference between trolls and dwarfs (other than their starting stats) that could account for this difference in performance?
