Being classist (and perhaps sexist) in MR

I've decided that I need some extra spellcasting power to conquer level four. My current party consists of
three knights, one human, one troll, one dwarf, all male
a male halfling rogue
a female wind elf wizardess
and a female human sorceress
All are at level nine. I'm considering changing my rogue, Skeltin Keyes, to a sorceror, since he only adds a slight bonus to my income with his current occupation. I like having three knights in the front (one of them soon to become an assassin) so they can absorb the damage dealt by non-breathing and mass-spellcasting enemies. I don't want to make any of them into spellcasters, which would force me to have one weak fighter in the front row (either the ex-knight or Skeltin) Still, a sorceror (or druid, a class which both of my magical characters are nearing) with my knight's relatively large hit point count at this time in the game could help to make up for a rogue's feeble strength and equipment selection.
Sorry this request has been so roundabout. should I induct my rogue into the sorcerous arts, or my weakest knight, or what?
