You'll want to hold on to your Rogue, as long as he's finding you cool items you can use. Also, he should level up faster than the others, making him a prime candidate for an Assassin or a Druid later on. Eventually, your spellcasters will make your Rogue obsolete, and you'll find yourself with a handful of Assassins up front.
