This game is so fun! But I think I'm stuck in a rut and I need some help..

My Party:
F-Human Rogue 4
F-Dwarf Knight 4
M-Human Knight 4
M-Rock Elf Sorcerer 4
M-Gwuil Sorcerer 4
M-Troll Wizard 4

My Rogue is also holding something called an Empty Stone that I found, what can I use that for?

I can't get passed the sign that says Authorized Personell Only...where can I get permission? I'm pretty much stuck just wandering around. My mapmaking skills are extrememly poor, so I'm lost there too. Any suggestions?
