Thanks for the offer Don. I can get to the entrance no problem, but have nothing to offer the guard in the way of either money or chattels. Have wandered everywhere and can't find any more gold. I think I have now been to every location and tried every option (many times), so I am just stuck.

If you can help at all, please, I am begging you. Please do.
