I have read the poem about the sphinx, but I have no idea how to find the sphinx. I have the iron key, but I have no idea what it does. I remember a gate which said beware of the pig, but I couldn't climb it and, now that I know that "pigs like acorns", I can't even find the gate again! And what is all this about a head and a secret passage in the chapel? Anyway, any nudges you could give me would be most appreciated.

I can think of at least one place in town that you need to go, and if you can't find the "Beware of Pig" gate, you should make a map and make sure that you have followed every path on it. Most of your problems simply require you to explore places that you have already been.

Thanks a lot! My mind just clicked on how to get the cogwheel, but I still don't have the key. I'm so frustrated because I found the "Beware of Pigs" gate before and now I have lost it! Oh, well, I've made some progress in the past hour, so I'll just keep exploring.
