We talked about that, but I/we (can't remember how it all unfolded, now) decided that doing that would be commercializing the site too much. Two other areas of RinkWorks actually ARE amazon.com affiliates: Dave's SF/F Resources, because it makes sense that a web page listing published reference books would also provide a means by which they could be obtained, and Slapdash City's "Books That Start With 'R'" page, because the affiliation is an actual part of the parody.

Dave gets all the referral payments from the SF/F Resources page. I don't think he's gotten much, but I think he's doing somewhat better than I am. I've not yet received a check from amazon.com, because they don't send out checks until you've earned at least $20. Slapdash City has been up fo r a year and a half, now. I think I have $14 or so. Maybe by early 2001, I'll get my 20 bucks. :-)
