I, for one, am disappointed. But only because I couldn't get my sound to work. Maybe when I get home on the PC which never shuts up.

Which reminds me -- what the heck is a pod cast anyway? I know it requires an Ipod, but I wouldn't recognize one of those if I fell over it.

I got a surprise the other day when I got an email from a cell phone. As I understand it, my granddaughter was at school (6th grade) trying to set up a power point presentation, whatever that is, in panic, she fired off messages to me and her father about how to do it. Fortunately, her father is more savvy about these things than me, so I assume she got her information. But the questions are piling up.
1. How does a podcast work?
2. How can you send email via cellphone?
3. What is a powerpoint presentation and how does it work?
4. Why can't all of this stuff slow down enough to allow me to catch up?

I have been a little behind since the days when a telephone sat on a table and had a receiver hanging on the side on a hook. You picked up the receiver and a voice said, "Number please?"

I could handle that.

It took a while to adjust when they made the telephone into one piece that you held up to the side of your head. It also had a rotary dial and I finally adjusted to that OK. Keypad phones were far into the future.

I almost never use a cell phone, and I have to have a few minutes of instruction when I do.

I wouldn't think of sending a text message, but I manage to use email. And I still remember how to put a stamp on a letter. Hey, did you know that you don't have to lick the stamp anymore?
