Mine does. That's why I try to use something as a 'lap desk' to keep my lap from getting hot and to keep the laptop from overheating.

Here's a thought. Why do they call it a 'LAPtop' if you can't put it on your lap without singing the hair off of your legs from the heat?

Happy birthday!! It's very ironic that today is your birthday, because it's my day of birth too! Though I can't speak for much- I only turned 20, where you turned 73. Congrats on another year!
