Reviews and Comments

Sequels, even the good ones, are usually inferior to their originals, but Predator 2 is as rock-bottom as they come. Director Stephen Hopkins does not have the visual sense of John McTiernan, nor does he know how to tap the humanity of his star, Danny Glover, who cannot replace Arnold Schwarzenegger but might have made an intriguing action hero in more capable hands (see: Lethal Weapon). There is not an original idea to be found here, nor even an original spin on an old one. The only thought the film inspires relates to its lapses in logic, such as, how did an alien spacecraft manage to land it underneath a building?
