The third film in the low budget Mr. Wong series, starring Boris Karloff as the title character, is an improvement on the second. This is an unusual plot for one of these, involving the purchase of airplanes and the conflict between China and Japan. Interesting supporting characters help buoy this film up, too, particularly a zealous reporter. The film's closing gag is great.
