Appointment With Death (1988)

Reviews and Comments

After three ok turns as Hercule Poirot on the small screen, Peter Ustinov made one final theatrical appearance as Agatha Christie's famous Belgian detective in the star-studded Appointment With Death. It's an improvement from the television episodes, but falls short of the highly entertaining Death On the Nile and Evil Under the Sun due to its top heavy plot and uneven pacing. But it restores to the series the upper crust eccentricity that lent Christie's work its unique atmosphere. Mystery fans will be pleased.
